Zurich Youth Masters to host the FEI JUMPING NATIONS CUP™ YOUTH

The Organising Committee of the Zurich Youth Masters, which will take place at the Horse Park Zurich-Dielsdorf from 24 to 28 August 2022, has successfully applied to host the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth 2022 and is delighted by the positive decision of the Fédération Équestre Internationale FEI to award the organisation of a qualifier in the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth 2022 Series was allocated to Zürich (SUI) from 24 to 28 August 2022.

Initiator and Event Director Yves von Ballmoos: «We are very pleased that the FEI Board has accepted our application to host one leg of the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth 2022 in Zürich-Dielsdorf (SUI). This means that the new young riders‘ tournament in Switzerland will have another attractive highlight to look forward to on it’s first time staging in 2022. From now on we will be allowed to use the title „FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth Qualifier Leg“ for the two CSIO which we will be staging for Children and Juniors.» Analogically to the international Nations Cup series for seniors, one team with 4 riders per nation will compete at the CSIO according to the Nations Cup formula: The three best riders in two rounds will be judged, the worst result will count as a strike result.

Besides Zurich (SUI) the other seven qualifying stages of the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth Series 2022 in Europe represent well-known show venues such as Opglabbeek (BEL), Gorla Minore (ITA), Zduchovice (CZE), Fontainebleau (FRA), Lamprechtshausen (AUT), Zuidwolde (NED) and Hagen a. T.W. (GER). The finals will take place from 22 to 25 September 2022 as in the previous years once again at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre in Kronenberg (NED).

Prior to this, the best young European riders will compete in the last leg of the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth 2022 from 24 to 28 August 2022 at the very first Zurich Youth Masters at the Horse Park Zurich-Dielsdorf, Switzerland. During four days international show jumping competitions for youngsters of various age groups are planned: A CSI-P for pony riders, a CSIO with Nations Cup in the categories Children (U14) and Juniors (U18) as qualifier for the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth final, and a CSI-U25 as a qualifier for the final of the European Youngster Cup (EY-Cup), which serves as a stepping stone for young riders to join the world’s elite.
