After five days of exciting show jumping, the ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS 2024 came to an end with the final competitions for the pony riders and the Grand Prix in the Children, Juniors and U25 categories. The young riders demonstrated their skills in front of an international audience with impressive sporting performances and national triumphs.
Rafael Huber has been working as an environmental coordinator at Holcim since completing his master’s degree in agricultural sciences at ETH Zurich in February 2024. Since the beginning of 2023, he has also been part of the organizing committee of the Zurich Youth Masters as Sustainability Coordinator. As a show jumper, Rafael rode in the U25 tournaments himself until a few years ago. In an interview, he gives us some insights into the sustainability work of the Zurich Youth Masters.
From August 21 to 25, 2024, the international ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS will take place for the third time at Horse Park Zurich-Dielsdorf, attracting the best young show jumpers in Europe. Due to the great interest, the maximum number of participants has been increased to 350 horses.
Unter dem neuen Leitmotiv „Ways to Win“ hatten Pferdebesitzer mit sogenannten ‘Problempferden’ die Chance, sich in einem öffentlichen Casting um eine Trainingseinheit mit Luca Moneta zu bewerben. Die Resonanz war überwältigend: Über 40 Bewerbungen gingen ein, darunter seitenlange Motivationsschreiben und beeindruckende Videos.
