Zurich/Dielsdorf, 11 August 2025. – From 20 to 24 August 2025, Europe’s best young show jumpers will once again gather at the Horse Park Zurich-Dielsdorf. This year, around 160 riders from 12 countries will compete with 300 horses in a total of 27 international-level competitions at the fourth Zurich Youth Masters (ZYM). Within just a few years, the tournament has established itself as a fixture in the European junior calendar and enjoys great popularity both at home and abroad.
A sporting highlight will be the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth competitions, in which the best teams in the Children (U14) and Juniors (U18) age groups will compete against each other in Nations Cups. These competitions are part of the official FEI Young Riders World Cup and will take place on Friday, 22 August, starting at 12 noon. The programme also includes other attractive classes for U25 riders, including Grand Prix competitions on Sunday. Particularly popular: the most successful young riders in the junior and U25 categories can look forward to coveted wild cards for the CHI Geneva (exclusively for Swiss talent) and the CHI Basel (open to international riders) – two of the most prestigious indoor tournaments in Europe and a real springboard to the international elite.
Focus on sustainability and horse welfare
Since its inception, the Zurich Youth Masters has been guided by the motto „Ways to Win“ – sporting success should always go hand in hand with sustainability and ethical horsemanship. Accordingly, the tournament has once again been certified as a sustainable event (Greentime). A central element remains the Horse Welfare Award, which is presented in cooperation with the Pro Pferd foundation. The award honours riders who show exceptional commitment to the welfare of their horses, both on and off the course. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday evening as part of the supporting programme.
Supporting programme with tug-of-war and riders‘ party
Even away from the course, equestrian fans can look forward to an entertaining programme. On Saturday evening, 23 August, there will be an open tug-of-war for everyone – a competition for teams of eight people, where fun, team spirit and muscle power are required. Whether riders, supporters, sponsors or fans – everyone can take part and test their strength in this sporting contest. The popular Riders Party powered by Interhorse will once again be the social highlight for participants, helpers and guests on Friday evening.
Committed partners and sponsors
The Zurich Youth Masters 2025 is made possible by dedicated partners who are jointly committed to young talent, fairness and sustainability. The main sponsors include Tommy Hilfiger Equestrian, the international fashion partner with a strong presence in equestrian sports, Christian Cavegn AG, a long-standing sponsor from the Zurich region, and Swisslos, the national funding institution for Swiss sport. All competitions are kindly supported by Swiss Equestrian Talents. This commitment is complemented by the Pro Pferd Foundation, which presents the Horse Welfare Award as a charity partner.
Once again this year, the tried-and-tested logistics partner Rhenus Logistics will ensure that everything runs smoothly, providing professional support to all participants when crossing the border – especially with customs and veterinary formalities. Riders who opt for a national customs procedure will also benefit from a flat-rate refund via the tournament invoice.
